A Day in the Purpose-Driven Life
Coming home late, I first check my email and find a subject line I think is as telling as it is funny: "Get 750 Points at the Left Behind Prophecy Club."
Then I see the Atlanta-Journal Constitution story about Ashley Smith sharing her methamphetamine
with Brian Nichols while he held her hostage. What struck me was her admission that this really happened, even as she denied using any herself at the time, even though it was apparently her stash. I'm sure her heart was racing already but it really tempers all that free promotion she gave the book, The Purpose-Driven Life.
Drug users deserve to be protected from homicidal fugitives as much as anyone else but your average crime victim really doesn't play up religion while also purposefully omitting behavior to the contrary.
Such are the times we live in. Meanwhile, my unchanged plans are to see Nine Inch Nails with Queens of the Stone Age at Philips Arena. These items may not tie together well but it's where I am now.
