I already can't stand David Broder as a columnist so I might not have noticed his newest affront
of a column without Michael Graham's mention
at NRO. Supposedly it's all the fault of us bloggers that older professionals like Dan Rather and Howell Raines aren't doing their jobs anymore.
Those of you who've been concerned about media consolidation should take heart from Rathergate and similar failings of mainstream media outlets. Independent journalism is alive and well, new checks and balances are in place and the conceit of the old guard is now plainly apparent.
A Clear Picture
Take a long look at this photo
and think about everything you see. Note the intolerance, the lack of remorse, the disregard for a child, the union representation. Are these the values of the Kerry-Edwards campaign?
It's nice when I can refer a single site with multiple links that summarize an entire issue. Such is the case now as I find Blogs for Bush has a complete roundup
of the evidence that CBS News used forged documents to assert that George W. Bush did not fulfill his commitments in the Air National Guard. I'm surprised to see such short succession from the "60 Minutes II" story to these new developments.
The possession of Zell Miller by the spirit of Paul Coverdell continues
The best highlights of his and Dick Cheney's speeches have already been well chosen and posted by Mark Kilmer
and the crew at Blogs for Bush
Personally I am also grateful that this whole notion of replacing Dick Cheney with another vice presidential candidate has been put to rest permanently.
