I wish I knew that everyone's new year is coming along as well as mine so far.
I do feel satisfied that 2004 will bring new prosperity in America with a solid 5% or greater economic growth.
An interesting trend I've noticed this week is the usual yellow-dog liberal Democrats on staff and on the scene here shifting their favor from Howard Dean and to Wesley Clark, of all candidates, so I'm really not worried about the presidential race.
At work, I began 2004 working and making out well at a successful bluegrass show (with my growing appreciation for it a good trend in itself). Best of all, my first solid meal of 2004 was oven-baked fried chicken and meatballs courtesy of the people putting on the hip-hop party upstairs. Sure, I had the blackeyed peas and collard greens for lunch yesterday but I love my fried chicken and may even get some more tonight.
